I’d like to add that this is not just an Italian singer, but THE Italian singer: Adriano Celentano.
He is not only a singer but one of the true Italian pop-culture actors, starring in several “nonsense” films I liked as a kid. He now is an important icon of the italian left-wing culture scene, having had his own satirical talkshow “RockPolitik” at state-television RAI (that on a few occasions made intelligent fun of Berlusconi). Not often that pop-icons have the substance to turn into political figures…
